PowerUSER has two recording scope features, introduced shortly below. For more information about the scopes and instructions how to use them, see the PowerUSER quick guide by pressing the "?" icon in the top right corner of PowerUSER.
Signal scope
- Slow, but long log files
- Sample rate approx. 5-10 Hz, logging time is unlimited
- Any signal(s) can be recorded, unlimited signals per log
- In general used for long term testing and monitoring during commissioning
- Requires PowerUSER to be connected while recording
- For more information, see the article Signal logging.

Diagnostic scope
- Extremely fast but short log files
- Sample rate up to 16 kHz, logging time is limited by device memory (roughly 50-500 ms per log)
- Most of the signals can be recorded. Limitation of max. 16 signals per log.
- In general used for troubleshooting and diagnostics
- Can be used with a trigger to allow recording when a specific event happens (e.g. when a fault occurs)
- Does not require PowerUSER to be connected after configuring and activating the scope, as recorded data can be downloaded later from the device
