As the EC-C1200 inverter is being continuously certified for new and improved functional and safety standards, regular hardware and/or software updates will be implemented. By default, all new updates are backwards compatible, and no actions or additional setup is needed from the user in order to gain the same functionality and behavior as with older devices. However, some of these updates might require updating the PowerUSER program in order to connect to new devices. If a connection to the device cannot be established, download the latest official PowerUSER software release from the Editron website (link below).

Due to the ongoing global component shortage, some internal PCB components of the EC-C1200 inverter have been changed to components with better availability. The component changes require updated firmware for the device. New firmwares are backwards compatible with all inverters produced after the year 2018, but older firmware versions do not support the new inverter hardware.
As older EC-C1200 firmware versions do not support the new hardware, uploading of old firmware to new inverter hardware was inhibited to prevent device failures. Due to this, a new version of the PowerUSER PC software, which is used to connect to the EC-C1200 devices, is required. This means that old versions of PowerUSER do not support the new hardware, and a new version of the PowerUSER is required in order to connect to the new hardware for parameter setup, firmware update, troubleshooting etc.
The latest PowerUSER version is freely downloadable from Danfoss.com webpage:
All new converter firmware versions as well as the new version of the PowerUSER remain to be backwards compatible with all Editron inverters and devices manufactured after the year 2018.
