This article describes instructions for measuring the insulation resistance of Editron EM-PMI motors.
Insulation resistance testers generate lethal voltages. Only qualified personnel should perform insulation resistance measurements. | |
Before performing the insulation resistance measurement, disconnect all cables and connectors from the device under test. |
Insulation resistance is measured between the motor terminals and the frame. When measuring the windings, the auxiliary circuits and other windings are grounded. When measuring the auxiliary circuits, all windings are grounded.
